besties is the brainchild of real-life bff’s Jackie O & Gemma O’Neill, best friends for the past 20 years. Jackie and Gemma always wanted to create a business together, and after many conversations they decided to celebrate the special bond shared not only by themselves, but so many others. Thus, besties was born.
besties allows you to celebrate the most important relationship in your life; your best friend.
Jackie O
Jackie O has spent 30 years in radio broadcasting and is best known as one half of the hugely successful Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM. In 2022, Jackie was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame recognising her longstanding contribution to the airwaves. Along with her role as a radio host, she’s also been a powerhouse on TV including hosting Big Brother and as a judge on Popstars and The Masked Singer for three seasons. Jackie is Co-Founder and Creative Director of besties. She loves nothing more than being a mum to her beautiful daughter, Kitty. When she’s not at work or with her BFF, you can see her on the courts playing tennis – and she loves a tarot card reading!
Gemma O’Neill
Gemma has spent 25 years in media and entertainment, holding executive positions in Australia, New Zealand, US and UK. She is now the Managing Director of her talent management & production company, the Gemmie Agency where she manages some of Australia’s most engaging and high-profile talent. She is Co-Founder and CEO of besties. Gemma holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is currently studying Bachelor of Psychology. A non-executive board director of Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer, she is also an advisory committee member of Soho House, Sydney. Her greatest joy is being a mum to her two young boys. You will see Gemma at most games, cheering on her beloved Sydney Swans and thinks it’s rude to say no to a French rosé!
